JuNN vs DMI AR CW

DMI is ready to complete a two map CW initiated several days ago by FoX/Thrice & Iceraider/Terminus. It was agreed that first map in the match would be a TDM/Hildir and 2nd map an AR-probably Champions. Simply hoping we can make an arrangement to play this arena match. DMI has use of Bobzilla's server and we can play the match there if everyone agrees. I am available Saturday evening and all day Sunday.

Okay talked to you about this the other night, briefly. Here's my response to it


Just mark that one-map TDM match off as a practice round or whatever. No matter how you slice it, a war that consists of one round of TDM and one of AR just doesn't work. The only scenario in which it works is in the case that one clan/team wins both rounds. Otherwise, it's a draw with no fair way to break the tie other than a judgment call which is then open to interpretation and (sadly, most likely) flaming and dispute.

So, let's just call it a practice round, for both sides. It was a Good Game for both sides from what I have heard, and it seems you all had some fun. That's great!

So let's just make this challenge for two maps of AR, 3v3 or 4v4 - however you would like to do it. I'd like to say we accept both this AND your TDM challenge.

We can work on a time, or we can just try to catch people online. (honestly, the second route is probably faster for all - seems awfully difficult to find an agreed time for everyone in advance these days).

By the way, I hate arena and I will personally play in the AR war to make sure it goes down. You, for various reasons, were given the impression JuNN didn't want to play you guys. Not true See you around, looking forward to a good match!

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said except one thing. The match that was already played was agreed to be an "on the spot" CW and it will go down in our books as such. It was also agreed, that another match would be played, that one an AR map. The combined scored to be added and the winner to be decided in this fashion. JuNN won by 5 frags, and DMI can EASILY make up for that and have a chance to win. In the event of a tie - a 3rd match was going to be played, though in truth, the parameters were never discussed. Ties are very rare and the agreement strongly favored JuNN because it was far more likely for the DMI team to be defeated. As it turns out, I played a very strong match and had my inexperienced partner (Iceraider in his 1st TDM ever)) not died so much, we would have defeated JuNN. I have the screenshot, and FoX likely has one as well. I was truly on fire to have kept it as close as it was. 78-73

On paper, this was easily a JuNN win in that TDM. But we played our hearts out and it was very exciting match for all four of us. (FoX & Thrice) For that game to be declared a practice, just seems wrong. FoX and Thrice are veterans who I am under the impression, have the authority to negotiate matches. I prefer for FoX and Thrice to decide if they want to complete that CW. If they don't, then the match will be a forfeit win in our books. If JuNN wants to classify it as a FW or scrimmage, that's ok, however we will classify it as a CW because it was a gentleman's agreement between FoX & myself. I agree that a hybrid TDM/AR CW is an oddity but it's far from unheard of and it has been done many times. As I have explained, we are trying to build a decent TDM contingent which benefits everyone. We are happy to try and do many more "on the spot" matches, both AR & TDM. It's the only way we can gain the experience we need and we don't care if we win or lose. We just want to compete. The AR can be negotiated to be shield/no shield and should feature as many different players from both sides as possible. Hail JuNN & DMI !!
